CompassionArt supports 'Start Freedom' and Freedom Week 8 – 14 March
Thanks to all of you who have already purchased the CompassionArt album and book, www.compassionart.tv/created our trustees were able to authorise a contribution grant of £6,000 from sales proceeds, to an anti-trafficking campaign called 'Start Freedom'. The team at SF, Steve, Ruth and Bex, together with the serious organised crime agency (S.O.C.A) and with help and further support from the UN and Comic Relief, continue to campaign relentlessly against trafficking issues which sadly, is still on the increase. By the time you have read this letter another two young people have been exploited at the hands of traffickers, somewhere in the world.
If you agree, as CompassionArt does, that people shouldn't be bought or sold, please join us in support of FREEDOM WEEK, 8 – 14 March. Visit www.startfreedom.org to register your support.
Thirdsector (the leading publication for everyone who needs to know what's going on in the not-for-profit sector) has voted 'Start Freedom' their digital campaign of the week. The film was put together by advertising agency Legas Deleaney with production company Feel Films, both working pro bono. It's also being promoted with the help of seeds agency, GoViral, which has secured coverage on 50 websites. Additionally, the film is due to be shown in cinemas in the UK in a pro bono deal secured with Pearl & Dean. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLuqUpu6cY0

Mothers Day is fast approaching. Finding the best way to show your mum how much you appreciate her is not the easiest thing. And while a bouquet of flowers or a box of fair trade chocs isn't to be sniffed at, you could always treat her to a 'CompassionArt' Album complete with a 50 minute DVD or alternatively if she prefers reading to listening, how about the 'Art of Compassion Book'. Both gifts can be easily purchased from our website and will arrive in plenty of time for 14 March.
Let's face it MUM's, music, and a good read are custom made for each other!
Keep going people, love Martin & Anna.
